We just love to get together for a cycle and a social, taking in perhaps a hostelry and almost certainly a Devon Cream Tea.
We had a truly top time on Friday 9th September in Sidmouth for the start of Stage 6 of The Tour of Britain. We seemed to have a little flurry on the radio and television, so here we have a collection of clips from the day. Our thanks go to Julia Boyer and Ian Woolger, two of our Stewards who stepped up to the BBC microphone for the first time for Velo Vintage. Many thanks also go to our inimitable Stewards and our Guest Riders. Thank you all so much. Toodle Pip! Alistair & Sebastian

Barnstaple Velo Vintage
Saturday 16th April 2016
We're all packed up and off to Barnstaple for our final preparations for tomorrow. Things will go a little quiet on our website now for a few days, however you can follow us on Twitter: @velo_vintage
We're starting here!
If you would just like to meet the riders and see their steeds, then here is a rough schedule for you and we'd love to see you!
10:00 am Riders
will be gathering in The Square, outside the Barnstaple Museum. EX32 8LN.
11:00 am The
Grand Depart! The Velo Vintage Riders will set off at a most leisurely pace,
via the Tarka Trail for the town centre, St Peter’s Church & St Annes, just
off Butchers Row, where they intend to take a group photograph.
11:30 am After
the photograph and all being well, the riders will then travel down Boutport
Street, back up the High Street, along Butchers Row and out along Queen Street.
After that, they’re heading for the Tarka Trail via Station Road.
Their next destination is St Peter's Church Hall, Church Hill, Fremington. EX31
3BL. Where they will stop for afternoon tea & cakes, served by Fremington
WI and supported by the local tea company, Miles Tea & Coffee from Minehead
After tea, the riders are popping next door to Fremington
Manor to say “hello” to the residents and to chat about their bicycles.
they’re off to Tea by the Taw, where the local band Retro Rhythm Rascals will
entertain them, whilst they sup a well-earned glass of Venton’s cider from East
As a little build up to our next event in Barnstaple, we took our penny farthings on a little tour over Easter and were delighted to meet up with Tim & Jill who regularly attend our occasions.
Here we are at Caen Locks, close to Devizes.
We're delighted to have established a connection with a Westcountry merchant which supplies truly delicious tea and coffee and indeed they seem to be happy to be working with us. In their words "Miles Tea & Coffee
are excited to be working in tandem with Velo Vintage in 2016. Taking time out
to enjoy a delightful moment with a cup of tea or coffee is one of Miles core
values, mirroring the atmosphere at Velo Vintage events."
We shall be raising a cuppa or two of Miles Tea & Coffee at our next occasion & ride in Barnstaple.
We had just the best of times at our 10th Velo Vintage Occasion & Ride in the Regency resort of Sidmouth, East Devon. Thank you to all who joined in and thank you Sidmouth Town for hosting our event.
Seasons greetings to all Velo Vintage riders and visitors to our website. We hope you all have a truly fabulous festive time and wish you all the very best for 2016,
may it be a vintage year for you.
and all of the amazing
Velo Vintage Stewards.
